The subject site is located in a inner city suburb with significant transport nodes and employment opportunities. Our clients brief was for the redevelopment of the site with an apartment building of medium density residential living that would contribute to the amenity of the area.

We devised a strategy for the redevelopment that responded to the current pattern of development whilst increasing density and produced an articulated building bulk that contributes to the streetscape.

Whilst the organisation of the building is around a central service core, the building mass is articulated into two narrow elements of 3 and 4 storeys height respectively. This articulation of the building mass helps to consolidate the variation of building frontage of the existing streetscape and repeats the variation of existing building heights.

The apartment building comprises of 19 units of one and two bedrooms and a full basement car park with a centrally located access driveway. The two street frontages and generous setbacks to side boundaries provide a green buffer zone. Further, units have excellent access to light and natural ventilation.

The project is currently undergoing development assessment for planning approval. We hope to update images as the project progresses.
